Steven Hill is a policy director, journalist, author, and fellow at the Rutgers Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing. His work focuses on economic democracy, political reform, the future of work, universal capitalism, and the effects of emerging technology on workers and institutions.
Steven co-founded FairVote and helped lead successful ranked-choice voting campaigns in San Francisco and Oakland. He previously directed New America’s Political Reform Program and served as Policy Director at the Center for Humane Technology. He is the author of several books, including Raw Deal: How the “Uber Economy” and Runaway Capitalism Are Screwing American Workers and Expand Social Security Now.
